Consent and legality

The legal landscape is moving. How much audio do you need?

• Natural pace, neutral read. Read a paragraph the way you'd narrate, not the way you'd sell. The clone inherits the energy of the sample.
• Consistent distance from the mic. A phone held steady at 15–20 cm is fine; a laptop mic across the desk is not.
• No processing. Don't apply noise reduction or compression before uploading; the pipeline handles levelling.

If the first clone sounds thin or nasal, the fix is almost always a better sample, not a longer one.

Getting a better clone
