Is voice design free?
Your first voice is. Each designed voice costs a flat 2,500 credits and sign-up includes 3,000, so one design fits inside the free tier. Generating speech with the voice then uses credits at the normal per-character rate.
Do I own the designed voice?
It is saved to your account under My Voices and stays there for you to use. Commercial use of audio generated with it follows your plan: personal and evaluation on Free, commercial rights from Starter.
Can I edit a voice after generating it?
You can't tweak a saved voice in place, but you can refine the description and generate a new candidate until you're happy, then save that one.
Can I design a voice that sounds like a real person?
No. Voice Design is for original voices from a description. To reproduce a specific real voice you must use Voice Cloning with that person's consent.
Which languages does a designed voice speak?
Designed voices generate through the same multilingual engine as Leap Ultra, so English, Chinese and other supported languages are available; describe the accent you want.
