Fish Audio Pricing Explained (2026)

Updated October 2, 2026

Short version: Fish Audio is one of the cheapest ways to buy minutes. Plus is $15 a month for up to 200 minutes, or $11 a month billed yearly, which is about $0.055 to $0.075 a minute. Pro is $100 a month for up to 1,620 minutes. The API is billed separately at $15 per million UTF-8 bytes with no monthly minimum. The free plan is for personal, non-commercial use.

Max$999$749 ($8,988 a year)25,000,000up to 6,250 minutes——

Cost per minute is our arithmetic: the plan price divided by the minutes Fish Audio states for it. We leave Max out because its stated minutes do not scale with its credits the way the other plans do. An Enterprise tier is priced on request.

Fish Audio figures are as shown on fish.audio/plan, fish.audio/terms and docs.fish.audio on October 2, 2026 and may have changed.

The API is billed separately

Fish Audio's documentation says the API uses pay-as-you-go pricing with no subscription fees or monthly minimums. Text to speech on the S2.1 Pro model is $15.00 per million UTF-8 bytes. English is about one byte per character, so a 10-minute script of about 8,500 characters costs roughly $0.13 through the API. Chinese, Japanese and Korean text uses about three bytes per character.

LeapFun bills by script length: about 1,000 credits is a minute on standard-rate voices. Leap Ultra voices bill 1.5 credits per UTF-8 byte, so a minute costs about half as much again on those; Leap Turbo voices cost about half. Yearly billing is ten times the monthly price. Full details are on the pricing page.

What the extra cents buy on LeapFun is workflow: a chapter-based Studio, paragraph re-takes, mastered exports with subtitle files and project translation. The feature comparison is on LeapFun vs Fish Audio.
